Indian Economy will grow  upto  6 per cent in fiscal year 2013-14: According to  C Rangarajan Chairman of Prime Minister Economic Advisory Council,  Indian Economy will grow upto 6 percent in  2013-2014 fiscal year. On Monday press meet  at a university event in Tezpur in Assam,  he expressed his views on Indian economy it is possible because of  the good monsoon.  "We can say that the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) of 6 percent ... the monsoon is favorable, due to higher investments in the public sector,"

Earlier this month, Mr. Rangarajan said that the pace of economic growth in India at least 6 percent for the year 2013 -14 are. Asked about the deficit on the current account, he said the demand side - that is the biggest limitation of the trade deficit, the demand for gold and oil - should be reduced.

"Measures have been taken in this direction," he said, without specifying. The law of conservation of energy is essential for economic growth, he added.

The economy grew by 5 percent 2012-13, which was a decade low. And in the fourth quarter of FY13, the economy grew by 4.8 percent.  The Reserve Bank of India predicts economic growth of 5.7 percent in the current fiscal year, while the Ministry of Finance forecasts growth of 6.1 to 6.7 percent.
