SpiceJet stock hiked on Hopes for foreign direct investment: Stock  of SpiceJet Ltd rised upto 3.9 percent after hiking earlier as much as 8.5 percent on hopes of  foreign DirectInvestment(FDI) and continued  career can attract foreign investment. The Aviation Minister   Ajit Singh, told to press  about the proposed transaction Etihad a minority stake in Jet Airways India Ltd. buy, said foreign direct investment (FDI) in domestic airlines as a whole is a "step positive" as the battles of the financial sector and the stretched banks willing to lend. Singh also said that other domestic airlines are in talks with potential investors, and called SpiceJet and GoAir private. He later said that he was talking to the press about the company and therefore not directly know.

SpiceJet said in January that some interest from potential investors, but he would have to discuss. Possibility of a particular investment premature.
